Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate.

· Did you know that 1 in 7 people entering a hospital needs blood and one pint of your own donated blood can save up to three lives.

· Did you know that Children being treated for cancer, premature infants and children having heart surgery need blood and platelets from donors of all types, especially type O.

· Did you know that 17 percent of non-donors cite “never thought about it” as the main reason for not giving, while 15 percent say they’re too busy.

Continental Automotive Group and Austin Pets Alive: a match made in doggie heaven. Continental Automotive Group is a proud sponsor of Austin Pets Alive’s “Fresh Start” Apartments, where high-energy dogs are trained in order to be adopted. Starting in March, CAG will highlight one of these dogs each month on our blog, in hopes of contributing to APA’s goal of making Austin a no-kill city. The dog chosen for March is Sunshine.

Sunshine is a three year old gold and white Pitbull mix. She is an affectionate dog who loves to go jogging; she would be perfect for an active family.
