Mercedes-Benz of Austin donated $6,300 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas. Over the past four years, the annual Mercedes-Benz of Austin golf tournament held at the Horseshoe Bay Resort has raised $21,900. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas volunteers will provide 90,000 hours of mentoring to 1,500 Little Brothers and Sisters this year. The value of this time is nearly $2 million! The Big Brothers Big Sisters program was started to focus less on specific problems after they occur, and more on meeting youths’ most basic developmental needs.
