Arriving this Summer: All New Infiniti 2011 QX56

The new second-generation 2011 QX56 is scheduled to arrive at Austin Infiniti this summer. The 2011 QX has a 400-hp 5.6-liter V8 engine with a refined 7-speed automatic transmission. This drive train provides a 25 percent increase in horsepower and more than a 10 percent increase in fuel economy versus the 2010 QX.

“Austin Infiniti is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new QX56,” says new car manager Shealea Greer. “We are particularly excited that even though the technology, performance, fuel economy, and pure luxury of the 2011 model is greater, the price didn’t increase much from the 2010 model.”

The new Infiniti QX offers a range of advanced technology systems, including the Infiniti Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention systems. It also is going to offer a new Blind Spot Warning system that “illuminates an indicator light if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. If the driver then activates the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible warning sounds.” Some other options on the new QX is Infiniti’s advanced Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Front Pre-Crash Seat Belts, and Intelligent Brake Assist.
